"My Favorite Childhood Memory"

I have a lot of childhood memories. I mean I don't know where to begin. To be honest, I don't have a favorite childhood memory. As you may notice about me that I don't favor a lot of things. I was not a girlie girl type that liked to play with baby dolls, doll houses, etc. I mean don't get me wrong. I like playing with dolls and such, but that was not on my top activities list. I was the type that liked to play basketball, ride my bike, play teacher, etc. My sisters use to call me weird because I enjoy doing the opposite of what a young girl should be doing. I mean that was just how I was. I was very active in my childhood days. I guess that is why my son is so active. I can remember the bbq's and the music playing in the yard. Other kids from the neighborhood came to join us almost every day. We had a blast back then.

Sometimes I wish that we can take a step back in time to our youth days. Those days were precious to me. The summer days were not too hot. The temperature was just right to play and run outside. I remember playing kickball, basketball, and even sometimes baseball, but our number one sports were basketball and kickball. Ok, you know that I live out in the country, so our courtyard was nothing but dirt. We will get all dirty and nasty, but we didn't care. All we cared about was having a good time. And that just what we did.

Gosh, I really do wish that I can go back in time and just redo everything again. Just by me thinking about my childhood memories puts a big smile on my face. I try to let me son enjoy the good old countryside the same way that I did. It is amazing how fast we grow up. I mean where does the time go? I can truely say that no matter how fast time went, I enjoyed every minute, second, and hour of it. Well, this is it until next time. Enjoy.

  1. I know what you mean. Only if we could go back in time to those wonderful days of not caring or having no worries. I lived in the country my whole childhood. It sounds like you had some great times. Your son will thank you one day for letting him live the way you did. Great Blog!

    1. Yes you right if only we could turn back time. Somethings I would change and some would stay the same. But you are correct when we were growing up we didn't have a care in the world.

I sometimes wish I could go back in time to when I had WAY less stress and even less cares... but I still wouldn't trade my life now, though!!

  3. I also enjoyed my childhood as well. Though I enjoyed it, I am happier to finally be completely independent and on my own.

  6. Sounds like you had a perfect place to explore, play, and use your imagination. Now you can see to it that your son gets to create those same types of memories. Have a Happy Easter!! Till next time, Nana B Runs With Scissors

  7. That's the same thing I was thinking while I was writing my blog. Only if we could turn back the hands of time.

  8. What a cute little girl you were! Don't we all want to go back to a time that was simplier without so much responsibility. Back to the good ole days.
